I am a social scientist with 15+ years of combined experience in research, evaluation, lecturing and training. I worked in academia for ten years and held several posts in the UK (University of Reading), Canada (Laval University) and Belgium (University of Liège).
Currently, I am an international research and development consultant. I work with governments, bi-lateral donors, local and international organisations and other stakeholders, providing scientific and technical assistance to development programmes. I design, lead and implement both qualitative and mixed methods research and evaluations studies as well as develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks. I turn data into actionable insights to help with decision-making, policies, learning and steering of projects and programmes aimed at improving the well-being of people and communities.
I have undertaken consultancy assignments in Africa and Europe for the government of Burkina Faso, the EU, UKaid, GIZ, the Belgian development agency (Enabel), Save the Children/UK, University of Oxford, Population Council, among others.
My passion lies in data, capacity strengthening and social justice, and I am attuned to cross-cultural issues. With strong field experience, I have been conducting field-based research in Africa for over 20 years to shed light on the stories of people, in particular those who are often brushed aside.
I work in cross-cutting thematic areas encompassing gender, health, protection, education and other human rights issues across countries and continents.
Furthermore, I collaborate with the University of Liège as a Senior Researcher. In this role, I lead or contribute to research programmes and am a coholder of the "Populations and Health in Africa" course.
